Founder
A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Chrystal A. Buckrham spent her formative years in Raleigh, North Carolina. A proud extension of Wake County Public Schools, Chrystal furthered her education as NC A&T SU where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Pathology. Following that, Chrystal earned a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Communication Disorders from NCCU. Secularly, Chrystal works as a Speech-Language Pathologist where her niche of serving those within the pediatric population remains steadfast. As a SLP, Chrystal has worked in various capacities including private practice where she was the proprietor of her own company, Heavenly Sounds Speech and Language Services. Having maximized opportunities for relocation and travel, Chrystal has worked in the following states: Maryland, California, Texas, and Virginia.
Chrystal’s most profound accomplishment is her acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. She is a licensed minister and seeks to serve in diverse capacities adhering to the Great Commission. In light of this confession, Chrystal has served as a Sunday School teacher for youth and young adult classes, a member of the Missionary Department undertaking evangelistic endeavors such as: community-based evangelism, the distribution of food and clothing to those within marginalized communities and correctional institutions, participation in 4-H programs as well as Habitat for Humanity, ministry within skilled nursing facilities and battered women’s shelters.
In addition, Chrystal is the founder and coordinator of Adamant About Abstinence, Inc.-a ministry focused on the preservation and restoration of Biblical purity. Adamant About Abstinence, Inc. underscores Biblical truths relevant to sexual propriety commensurate with God’s design. This entity has served to encourage women and men of diverse ages and experiences to uphold Biblical ordinances in alignment with reserving physical, mental, and emotional intimacy for marriage.
In like manner, Chrystal has established a mentoring program for girls and young women, grades 3-12, and ages 18-27 entitled: The Esther Generation. Seeking to edify young women to identify and operate within their God-ordained purpose, this ministry, whose basis is Biblical, rests upon four pillars: Biblical literacy, socio-emotional wellness, evangelism, and recreation. In accordance with the Book of Esther, The Esther Generation believes that they, too, exist for such a time as this, emphasizing that the development of healthy, whole girls results in the maturation of healthy, whole women.
Presently, Chrystal resides in the Guilford County vicinity of North Carolina. She enjoys solo travel, mentoring others, and writing. Maintaining an unwavering conviction of: Jesus at the circumference-or center, Chrystal adheres to Colossians 1:18, & that in all things he---that is Christ, might have the preeminence.
